The digital era is creating many opportunities for sectors like healthcare to improve service efficiency. But, at the same time, it introduces new challenges, including greater cyber risks. Cyber-incidents and cyber-attacks not only cause the loss of billions of Euros every year but also cause service disruptions and put patient safety at risk. All too often, these incidents occur due to human error.

To increase awareness about cyber security and help reduce risks, PANACEA Research has joined forces with cyberwatching.eu in a webinar on 26 September 2019, from 11:00 to 12:00 CEST.

The webinar will help individuals and organisations learn how to reduce the risk of cyber-attacks, with key insights into good practices for medical, IT and other professionals working in healthcare organisations. The webinar zooms in on key findings from PANACEA on the key role people in healthcare play in increasing resilience to cyber-attacks, explaining why everyone in the sector needs to be aware of the many risks. With the support of cyberwatching.eu, this webinar will share essential information on legal aspects all healthcare organisations need to know to protect the sensitive information on patients and staff information from the risk of theft or fraud.

Who should attend
This webinar is for anyone working in healthcare to learn about risks related to connected and medical devices, and how they can be countered by good working practices. It is also for healthare managers and legal advisers, who will benefit from expert knowledge on major EU legal measures.
Participants will come away with practical guides on preventing unauthorised access to the vast amounts of personal information stored on devices and the key role of compliance with EU legislation on data protection.
