Background and purpose of the open call for the development of medical devices

PANACEA has received funding from the European Union’s Horizon 2020 research and innovation programme under the Grant Agreement no 826293. As part of the PANACEA project, which is mostly dedicated to cybersecurity in hospitals, one of the partners of PANACEA is developing a two-factor user authentication technology, easily usable by busy hospital staff members, password less, and implementable on any terminal or medical device relying on a processor using windows 10 (any Windows 10 from Enterprise to IoT core). The authentication relies on Hardware owned by the users (smartphone assumed) & face recognition.

The purpose of the call is to select a company involved in the development of medical devices used in hospitals, willing to implement, demonstrate and test this innovative user authentication strategy, with the PANACEA partner that has developed it.
