The South/Southwest Hospital Group is one of 7 hospital groups within the Irish Health Service Executive (HSE) to which it is linked through management and governance structures under the Department of Health. The Hospital Group is an organisation where hospitals and healthcare structures are networked. In PANACEA, HSE brought cybersecurity requirements while giving valuable feedback on the tools developed. It also shared its direct experiences of a ransomware attack it suffered in May 2021 in both the PANACEA white paper and a virtual event with two peer projects.
